Jack Vettriano has been a figure of some controversy in the artworld in Scotland and the UK , although his popularity as anartist remains undiminished . First of all his agent at thePortland Gallery objected to a painting which he claimed was acopy of one of Vettriano's works . A couple of weeks later itwas revealed that Vettriano himself had copied one of his mostfamous images from a ?20 art book .
