Is There Still Room For ME?
By Theresa Cahill        [Hits: 10748]

I'm over at one of my newly discovered and now favorite\r quick search sites, mikes-marketing-tools.com, and I\r decided to check out the search terms submitted to the \r search engines within the past 24 hours.

The search limits itself to the top 300 most commonly\r typed terms (and eliminates any ad^u^lt stuff which is \r cool by me).

In just moments the list is generated and I begin to\r work my way down the list. What I'm keeping my eye open\r for are terms relevant to what I'm doing online - ezine\r advertising and ezine publishing. I'm interested in \r learning what specific marketing terms others online are\r typing - hey every little bit of knowledge helps.

And the results?

Nary one single word...!

Yep, I think it sort of amazed me, too. And then I thought\r about it a bit more and realized - this was a good thing!\r Imagine how much room is left for building a business and\r marketing effectively online.

If you've been online for a while and sometimes find\r yourself muttering, "Oh the market is just flooded, there's\r nothing new I can do, create, or build. Everyone's seen this\r and done that..." then think again!

Somewhere I heard that about 400 people discover the\r internet for the first time about every 20 seconds. Wow!\r Think about that, every 20 seconds.

Now, they aren't all going to come storming "over here"\r right away. Most go online to search for new cars, or\r mortgage rates, or game cheat codes or new music.

But, didn't most of us start there, too?

And then one day something happened, maybe it was signing\r up to receive that first ezine and wham! before you knew\r what hit you, you're a marketing fool :)

So don't despair, but do be realistic. Rome wasn't built\r in a day and neither will your internet empire. But it\r can't grow at all if you throw up your hands and walk\r away.

Persistance and determination and plain common sense.

Use these three friends wisely... and keep your eye on\r those search terms, you never know when or where that \r next great idea may come from!
