Warning: Most people may find it too good to be true or simplytoo hard to believe. The only way to find out is to test it out.
1) How To Remove Guitar Tuning Problems:
The few main causes of tuning problems are, not putting newstrings correctly, not stretching them properly and animproperly slotted nut.
First fix is to get a lesson on string winding and make sure youstretch them out.
Second fix is to have your nut slots checked and possibly filedout to the correct diameter and angled for each string.
One thing you can do yourself which eliminates a ton of tuningproblems is to simply lift the string out of the nut and turn apencil in the slot. The thin layer of graphite dust acts as alubricant to keep the string from binding.
2) How To Keep Your Steel Strings Brighter:
Soak your set of steel strings into lighter fluid for 15 minutesthen leave it to dry for 5 minutes.
Every time before and after you play your guitar, dip a bit oflighter fluid on a cloth then wipe your strings with it.
Why does lighter fluid make your strings stay bright and lastlonger? Won't it go up in flames, if someone was smoking nearby? These are the 2 questions in your mind.
Okay! I'll skip the scientific terms and tell it like it is, inlay-man terms. Lighter fluid goes into the strings and forms aprotective layer, which can't be seen by the naked eye, thefluid which is left on the strings evaporates totally in just afew minutes.
This method helps you save money on buying strings and when youchange strings less frequently, you'll save time and effort.
Caution: Does not work with strings which are already coated.
