Today I'm going to be showing you a 100% legal way you can spyon your competition, and why, if you're not doing this, you'rereally missing the boat on some potentially ground-breakingearth-shattering marketing ideas.
I'm writing today's tip from over on the west coast of Florida, just outside of Tampa, where my family and I will soon berelocating.
And you know what?
Sometimes it's refreshing to be looking at the world from adifferent vantage point -- you see things differently that way.
You know what I mean?
Are you consistently looking at your business from yourcustomers and your clients point of view?
And even more important, are you looking OUTSIDE your businessfor new ideas, trends, and ways to market your business?
For example, purchasing goods and services from yourcompetitiors is one of the most basic things you can do, to getnew ideas for upselling... cross-selling... and back-endproducts.
Investing your time and money in this incredibly easy way of"spying" on your competition, is a sure-fire way of keeping youon your toes... staying "hungry"... and making sure you aren'tdoing anything stupid.
The first thing I ask all my consulting clients (and mycopywriting clients for that matter) is "Who's doing things inyour marketplace that's really kicking butt? What is theirmarketing like? Who's really shaking things up?"
Look, one of my first copywriting mentors told me the easiestway to make a fortune was to find something that's working, andthen just put a better spin on it using good (better) marketing.
He said that's like finding a race-horse that's always coming insecond and third, and then just giving it a little extra boostof "energy", and all of a sudden, now you've got a consistentwinner.
So start looking at your business from the outside, because youreally DO see things differently when you're on the outsidelooking in.
Now go sell something,
